Welcome to the Vienna Schuhmuseum!

The Vienna Schuhmuseum (Shoe Museum) was officially opened by federal minister Dr. Michael Häupl on 1 October 2002.

Work had begun to convert the guild's former conference rooms into a museum in 1993. Over the years, a state-of-the-art museum was fitted out with painstaking attention to detail.

The collection - the only one of its kind in Austria - covers some 100 square metres and focuses on the development of shoemaking and orthopaedic shoemaking throug the ages.
